Tom Brady Helps Rob Gronkowski Get His $1 Million Bonus Before Leaving The Pitch
Rob Gronkowski just went into the game with a possibility of earning about a $1 million incentive in bonuses. The veteran just needed seven catches and eighty-five receiving yards so he could hit his two incentives of $500,000. Gronkowski smoothly did quick work of receiving the yards incentive as he was able to catch a 42-yard pass from Tom Brady in the third quarter. However, with only seven minutes left to go in the game, he was still one catch away from receiving his last incentive. While Gronkowski hit his yardage bonus early in the game, which is still on the second half, he is remaining on edge as he still hadn't fulfilled the requisites for the $500,000 check.
During that, the Buccaneers were up by 14 points, and there was a case that needed to be made to even begin the rest of their starters. At that time, Tom Brady wanting to help Gronkowski, was seen telling the coaches that he would not come off the game yet, not until Gronkowski gets his final catch. Just moments later, Brady got Gronkowski the full incentive with a short pass just near the sideline. They just ignored the semi-botched call of the moment by Tony Romos because, at the end of the day, it is $500,000 at stake. Brady only came out of the game once Gronkowski finally got to complete the requisites for his $500,000 check.
Right after Gronkowski made his final catch, Blaine Gabbert relieved Brady, and the Buccaneers have cruised their way to the victory. Gronkowski has finished with 137 yards and received seven catches which made him $1 million richer. The Bucs stunningly won the game with 41-17. The Buccaneers have finished the season with a stunning record of 13-4 and will have to gear up for their next matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, which will happen on the Super Wild Card Weekend.
