Adele Shades Sylvester Stallone After Beginning Major Home Renovations

Adele has begun major renovations on her new home, and it may be rubbing the estate’s previous owner Sylvester Stallone the wrong way.

In May 2022, the singer bought a $58 million mansion from the legendary actor. But it wasn’t only the home’s high price tag that made headlines. Sylvester apparently left a variety of movie memorabilia behind, including a life-size Rocky statue in the backyard.

By November, it was reported that Adele had begun an overhaul of the property after she applied for a permit to remodel the interior. Though there was speculation Adele wanted to remove Sylvester’s remaining movie references, the details of her renovation plans remained unclear, that is, until now.

TMZ recently reported that the renovations are well underway, beginning with a complete gut of the home’s second story. Aerial photos obtained by the publication show the entire primary residence is under construction.

But there’s one interesting detail that remains on the property – Sylvester’s Rocky statue, which overlooks the infinity pool.

For now, Adele appears to be keeping one of the iconic structure, though TMZ notes there was another outdoor statue she’s removed.

Though Sylvester may have left unwanted memorabilia behind, there are many other features Adele was clearly drawn to in the mega mansion. With 3.5 acres of land, the property comes with a private driveway, 2-bedroom guest house, and infinity pool. It has enough space to park 8 cars.

The main residence features 18,000 square feet of living space, including 8 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms. The home’s other amenities include an indoor gym, art studio, and cigar room.

Adele technically got the mega mansion for a steal. Sylvester originally listed the property in 2021 for $110 million, before reducing the asking price to $80 million. By the time Adele scooped it up for $58 million, almost half the original price was knocked off.

There’s speculation that Sylvester felt especial pressure to sell the property in 2022, as his wife had filed for divorce amid allegations of financial troubles. The couple reconciled within a few months.

Though Adele paid a pretty price for Sylvester’s former pad, she’s clearly not afraid to sink in even more money on renovations. It remains unclear how much Adele is spending on the remodel. But with the launch of her million-dollar Las Vegas show earlier this year, it’s doubtful that money is a concern for the songstress.
