Drake’s Credit Card Embarrassingly Declined While Trying To Tip A Foot Massage

Even the rich and famous deal with declined credit card, as Drake exemplified during an embarrassing moment earlier this month.

A video showing the rapper watching a live stream on Kick has gone viral. The woman in the video, Daisy, was laying down laughing while getting a foot massage in an erotic pose. This prompts Drake to try and log into his banking app to give her a $499 tip. However, the rapper’s transaction was promptly declined. “Embarrassing!” Drake says in response.

The viral video spurred a variety of reactions online. Many people found the moment hilarious and relatable. However, there was also speculation over why the transaction was declined, considering Drake is known for having a lot of wealth of his name.

The Canadian native is worth approximately $250 million dollars. He’s not only made his fortune through his music career and investments, but also lucrative gambling streak.

The entertainer has won a number of huge bets, including a $1.7 million win earlier this year after betting on Jon Jones at UFC 285. Drake had to wager $250,000 to make the bet.

For a time, the Internet claimed Drake had a “betting curse” after a series of unlucky losses. But his luck surely turned in April when the rapper brought in $2.7 million after placing a wager in the Israel Adesanya vs. Alex Pereira fight at UFC 287.

Drake may be having fun gambling his money, but the rapper is also spending a lot on legal fees at the moment, as he’s involved in several ongoing lawsuits.

In April, Drake was hit with a $10 million lawsuit after allegedly sampling lyrics on one of his tracks without permission.

Obrafour, a rapper from Ghana, is behind the copyright infringement lawsuit. He claims Drake’s team asked him multiple times to sample vocals from his track “Oye Ohene,” specifically the lyrics "Killer cut, blood, killer cut.”

The rapper says he never responded to the request, so he was surprised to learn his lyrics were sampled on Drake’s song “Calling My Name,” which was part of his 2022 album Honestly Nevermind.

Earlier this year, Drake settled a lawsuit he was facing alongside 21 Savage after using a fake Vogue cover to promote their joint album Her Loss, which released in November 2022. The do were subsequently sued by the magazine’s publisher Conde Nast, though they came to an undisclosed settlement.
